3er Edition of the ATRAPP Project Annual Meeting – May 13, 2019
The 3rd edition of the ATRAPP Annual Meeting was held last May 13, 2019, in the Amphitheatre of the J. Armand Bombardier Pavilion, Campus Université de Montréal. We had the pleasure to welcome more than 70 researchers and collaborators involved in the ATRAPP project (Algal Blooms, Treatment, Risk Assessment, Prediction and Prevention) and sixteen of them presented their most recent results. A poster session was also on the agenda. The welcoming and collaborative atmosphere of the event facilitated exchanges between researchers and students, and it was a great opportunity to meet the new project collaborators. The recorded conference is available on the following link: here.
Since, 2016, the research team of the ATRAPP project, under the direction of Professor Sébastien Sauvé (Université de Montréal) and composed of professors Jesse Shapiro (University of Montreal), Sarah Dorner, Michèle Prévost and Arash Zamyadi, Benoit Barbeau (Polytechnique Montréal), Jérôme Dupras (Université du Québec en Outaouais) and other collaborators, leads one of the largest research initiatives in the world on cyanobacteria. Through the analysis of local, national and international research, the project connects researchers, government representatives, environmental groups, farmers, business representatives and concerned citizens. The ATRAPP project is already in its third year of existence, and its third sampling campaign has been completed.
